today is the day

happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear bra-at, happy birthday to me! wow.... the big ole' 2-4 today ha ha it's a little weird how insignificant my birthdays have seemed for the last few years. Just another day in the life...
Especially this year. I'm alone alone on my birthday right now, cuz the guys went to go get measured for their tuxes. Much more important things going on right now, gotta get everything done because in exactly one month we will all be partying like crazy celebrating our wedding! Wow it's gotten here so fast. Wonder if life will slow back down after we're married. probably not. Then it will be the kids, then they'll grow up, and it will all happen so fast it will be hard to keep track of it all. At least that's the way the last few years have gone. I can't believe I'm 24 years old! On my birthday card, my boss wrote "wow you've had quite a few of these here, you're getting old like the rest of us!" and he's right, I have had 6 birthdays there. Doesn't feel right at all, I actually had to count on my fingers because I didn't believe the math in my head! Another "wow"... I was just thinking that I don't know how many people are actually going to be reading this, my life seems pretty uninteresting to me right now. Same as most other peoples' lives anyway.
well it's late, but it's time to start dinner

Time is FLYING BY!! I can't believe 5 weeks from now is going to be my WEDDING DAY! Yeah I'm starting to get a little excited =) I bought Scott's ring today, he's wearing it right now. (He's sleeping, I just wanted to see if it fits him or if I have to get it sized!) ha ha

Just putting the finishing touches on everything, lots of phone calls, lots of meetings, and lots of checks being written! But it is going to be a great day, can't wait!!

my random wonderings...

well as most of you probably know, I drive about 100 miles a day to and from work. yeah, I'm crazy, insane, nuts, whatever you want to call it. haven't figured out why I do it, but I do, and have been for over 4 years now. we'll see how much longer it lasts.
as I sit in my car for those long hours every day, my mind tends to wander. and I come up with some stupid thoughts, questions, comments, whatever. and I just decided that this would be a good place to collect them all! if you can answer any of them, feel free, and if you have any of your own (hopefully I'm not the only one who thinks crazy thoughts like this!), feel free to post as well.

here is the start of the list:

• the billboards in between the tri-state/294 and eisenhower/290, is it more expensive to put an ad there because they reach 2 highways?
• why doesn't the tri-state have exit numbers?
• I read other peoples' license plates and try to figure out what they mean (see a future post, just got another list idea), how many people look at mine and try to figure it out?
• sometimes I see cars/license plates during my drive that I know I have seen before. does anyone see mine and think "hey I saw her yesterday!"?
• do people who pick their noses in their cars realize that other people can see them, or do they just not care?
• I "googled" my own name a few nights ago. I wonder if anyone has ever "googled" my name, and what they found out about me
